It goes without saying, we can’t help you find a homeshare partner without some information about you, such as basic profile details and the types of people you’d like to live with. We also collect information about your use of our services such as access logs, as well as information from third parties. If you want additional info, we go into more detail below.

Information you give us

You choose to give us certain information when using our services.

This includes:

- When you create an account, you provide us with at least your phone number, email address, as well as some basic details necessary for the service to work, such as your location, and your homesharing preferences.

- When you complete your profile, you have the option to share details like your occupation, personality traits, pets, lifestyle preferences and other details that can help match you with potential homesharing partners.

- If you subscribe to a paid service or make a purchase directly from us, payment processors provide us with information such as your debit or credit card number or other financial information.

- When you participate in surveys, focus groups or market studies, you give us your insights into our services.

- When you choose to participate in our promotions, events or contests, we collect the information that you use to register or enter.

- If you contact us (e.g., through our customer care team), we collect the information you give us during the interaction.

- Of course, we also process your messages with other users as well as the content you publish to operate and secure the services, and to keep our community safe.

- With other users: You share information with other users when you voluntarily disclose information on the service (including your public profile). Please be careful with your information and make sure that you’re comfortable with it being visible to others on the platform.

- With our service providers and partners: We use vendors to help us operate, distribute, market and improve our services. We follow a strict vetting process prior to engaging any vendor or partner. We may share your information with affiliates for limited legitimate purposes.

8. How Long We Retain Your Information

If you close your account, we will delete your personal information according to the following:- To protect user safety and security, we implement a 3-month safety retention window following account closure during which we keep your information in the event it is needed to investigate unlawful or harmful conduct.- Once the safety retention window elapses, we delete your data except for limited categories we may retain for specific purposes (like legal obligations, customer care, preventing banned users from re-joining, or addressing outstanding issues/claims).

9. No Children Allowed

Our services are restricted to individuals 18 years of age or older. If you suspect a user is underage, please report them using the reporting mechanism on the service.

10. Job Candidates, Contractors and Vendor Representatives

We process personal information of job candidates and contractors/vendors as part of our recruitment and vendor management operations. Relevant sections of this Privacy Policy apply to our processing of your personal information for these purposes.
