Our Mission

Building a Bridge

Enabling older homeowners to live in their homes longer, safer and provide an affordable housing solution for a younger generation
How it began

The Story of Home Sweet Homeshare...

My grandfather lived alone for over a decade after my grandmother passed. He was fiercely independent, mentally and physically capable, but the loneliness and daily household chores were taking a toll on him.

Like my grandfather, too many older adults face a bleak choice: stay alone in a house that feels too big, or give up their independence for expensive assisted living.

We created Home Sweet Homeshare because we believe there's a better way.

We built this company to help older homeowners who want to stay in their homes longer, but who could benefit from a little extra income, a helping hand, and a new friendship with a responsible younger adult.

It's not just about filling rooms, it's about filling lives.

Our Core Values

The principles that guide us

Empathy

We are all humans first.
We listen with open hearts.

Authenticity

We encourage everyone to show up as themselves. Flaws and all. Being authentic is a superpower.

Trust

All relationships are built on trust. We maintain that trust through open communication.

People with heart

We insist that everyone who is part of our organization and community show up with optimism, curiosity, and a desire to co-create our community.
Our difference

Affordable Independence vs. Independent Living

Independent living costs on average $3,500 a month, and can still feel impersonal.

Home Sweet Homeshare PAYS YOU at least $600 a month, plus it fosters a true connection.

If you value staying in your own home, assistance with household chores within your own home, and companionship, Home Sweet Homeshare offers a compelling alternative to Independent Living facilities.
